Going glamping is the ultimate getaway in New Brunswick

Love the outdoors but hate the idea of roughing it? Visitors to the south of the Atlantic Canadian province of New Brunswick can now enjoy ‘glamping’ for the first time thanks to brand new ‘Dream Domes’ introduced at Ridgeback Lodge.

Located on the Kingston Peninsula, overlooking Kingston Creek, Belleisle Bay and Saint John River, each ‘Dome’ boasts a king size bed, luxurious bathroom, small kitchenette, as well as a barbeque and private wood-fired Japanese hot tub.

The unique structures are fitted with huge bay windows with stunning views overlooking the surrounding forest and Ridgeback Lodge’s 185-acre grounds.

Guests can enjoy a dip in the beautiful two-acre swimming pond and trek the various groomed summer trails or relax by the fire sites. The more adventurous might also like to canoe nearby Kingston Creek, with canoe rental available on site (prices start from $15 for four hours).

In addition to the new Dream Domes, Ridgeback Lodge offers two and three-bedroom cedar log cabins, each with wood stoves, dining areas, fully-equipped kitchen, covered deck with barbecue and stunning views.
