New Cabot Cliffs in Nova Scotia a Top Golf Course in 2016

This summer golf enthusiasts can practice their swing on the new Cabot Cliffs Golf Course, Canada’s second true links course set to officially open on 7th June 2016 and located on stunning Cape Breton Island in Atlantic Canada’s Nova Scotia.

Cabot Cliffs was designed by two-time Masters Champions Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore – who also designed its sister ocean-side course Cabot Links – and will feature an unusual configuration of six par-threes, six par-fours and six par-fives.

Both courses, the new Cabot Cliffs and the existing Cabot Links, sit side-by-side along the west coast of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, and complement several existing 18-hole courses on the island, making Nova Scotia an ultimate golf destination.

Cabot Cliffs Golf Course is already creating a great deal of excitement in the golfing world, even before it has officially opened to the public. The course debuted at no.19 on Golf Digest’s list of the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, and was named ‘Best New Course of the Year’ for 2015.

Caddie services will also set Cabot Cliffs apart; enabling golfers to navigate the course with ease and by providing invaluable tips and tricks. Cabot Links’ Pro Shop also offers a wide range of name brand golf rentals, so no need to lug your clubs across the Atlantic.

The resort-style course will offer visitors luxury accommodation and restaurants, so that golfers can enjoy the convenience of waking up and stepping straight out onto the green.

In addition to great golf, Cape Breton Island is covered in lush, forested river canyons and enchanting mountain ranges surrounded by striking coastlines, and in 2011 was ranked as the no.1 Island destination in North America by Travel & Leisure magazine.

Visitors can tee-off their holiday on the breath-taking Cabot Trail, weaving through 366 square miles of magnificent highlands and coastal wilderness in northern Cape Breton; ideal for hiking, camping, cycling and coastal drives.

Just six hour’s direct flight from London Heathrow to Halifax, Nova Scotia – which literally translates to ‘New Scotland’ – and with daily direct flights throughout the summer, it has never been easier to pack your tartan golf trousers and experience an exceptional new international course within such spectacular natural surroundings.
