ENGLISH LUCY ON LOCATION IN NEW BRUNSWICK
British actress Lucy Boynton (the young Beatrix in Miss Potter) has been filming her new movie Copperhead on location in New Brunswick. The Kings Landing Historical Settlement near Fredericton was the backdrop for the Civil War drama co-starring Hollywood veteran Peter Fonda, which will be released in 2013. Follow the movie action to Kings Landing where the outdoor living museum recreates the lives on New Brunswickers during the 19th Century.

FIVE STAR RESORT TO OPEN ON NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR’S FOGO ISLAND
Newfoundland and Labrador’s first five star luxury resort will open on Fogo Island in Spring 2013. The eco- chic hotel has been built on stilts to avoid damage to the rocks and lichen that make up this craggy island. PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND NAMED WORLD’S TOP UNDISCOVERED GOLF DESTINATION
When Prince Edward Island was named Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year it is likely to have come as no surprise to top international pros Jack Nicklaus and Mike Wier. They, along with dozens of top players, have played on the island recognised as the leading golfing destination in Canada. Now their secret’s out thanks to this award from the International Association of Golf Travel Operators. KILTED MOUNTAIN BIKERS TAKE THE AIR IN NEW BRUNSWICK
Swap your lycra shorts for a kilt to demonstrate the sort of bravado that won us the Tour de France when you join a mountain bike ride across New Brunswick. Expose yourself to the sea breezes in a borrowed kilt as you cycle over the low tide ocean floor at the Bay of Fundy. CANADA’S UP AND COMING WINE DESTINATION POPS THE CORK FOR AUTUMN WINE FESTIVAL
Stomp the grapes or board a double decker bus for a tour of the vineyards during Nova Scotia’s Seventh annual Fall Wine festival (September 13-October 14). Nova Scotia is fast becoming one of Canada’s top wine regions after having scooped 26 top awards at the All Canada Wine Championships. Meet the winemasters who produced those gold medal winners and join dinners and demos at more than 45 festival venues across the province.

AVETT BROTHERS JOIN BRITISH BLUES’ GURU MAYALL IN NEW BRUNSWICK
US rock band The Avett Brothers (I and Love and You) join seasoned British blues’ hero John Mayall for this year’s Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival in New Brunswick. The five day festival has become Atlantic Canada’s biggest music event, running from September 11-16 in the capital Fredericton.
